People talk about “good debt” and “bad debt”, but really, how good is any of it if you cannot afford to make the payments. Traditionally, good debt is considered the mortgage on your home and student loan debt. Your home is supposed to appreciate in value and your student loan debt is supposed to increase your earning potential.
Right now, many homes have lost value and individuals are not able to refinance them at a reasonable interest rate since they owe more than they are worth. There are also many people with college degrees that are unemployed or are working for a wage far below their educational level. Bottom line is if you have debt and you cannot afford to make the payment it is bad no matter what kind of debt it is.
I have been working out with a personal trainer for the past 3 months and I am considering taking over my own training, but I am not sure if I am ready yet. I was so week before I began working out with her that I had a hard time walking up the steps. I have come a long way since that time.
The gym I go to offers some great classes that combine aerobic, strength and stretching exercises and I thing these classes would be a good fit. But I also have a book that combines resistance band and the exercise ball for a complete sculpting workout. This also looks like it would also be a good fit.
I believe I will think about this for the next month. The holidays are upon us and I hate to make any major changes during this time because there is always so much else going on.

My weight loss challenge is to lose 40 pounds in the next 6 months. And I will say that 6 months is a tentative timeline. If it takes longer, I am okay with that. As long as I am moving the right direction, it will all be good. I already know what will be the hardest thing for me to deal with and that is my emotions. I eat when I am bored and angry and it seems like I am angry a lot of the time.
I am very frustrated with my job and there are things about it that anger me that I have no control over. I try to keep the serenity prayer in mind so that I can work through the emotions, but I am not always successful. It will probably be a year before I will be able to make any career changes. I must keep in mind that the more healthy choices I make in all aspects of my life, the sooner I will reach my goal of being able to leave my job and achieve my weight loss goal.
The park is one of my favorite places and I happen to think that my city has some great parks. They are well maintained and great place to experience serenity at its best. If it was up to me and my schedule allowed, I spend 1 to 2 hours in the park everyday. My favorite park has a spot that I consider paradise.
This spot is under very large pine trees. The branches are about 10 feet off the ground at their lowest point. It is like being in an outdoor room. There are a few picnic tables under these trees. This gives me a place to sit and look out over the pond. The pond is surrounded by trees and the tree closest to my spot always has colored birds in it.
There is nothing more therapuetic to me than watching red and yellow birds fly back and forth in these trees. Even if only for moment, I have no other problems at that time. I usually walk a mile and half to this spot and I spend 10 to 15 minutes at my spot than I walk the mile and a half back to my car. To me, this time spent in the park is the perfect beginning to any day.
